Amber’s commitment to improving healthcare extends beyond the classroom, leading her to embark on a life-changing journey to rural Nepal. There, she joined a team of Taiwanese doctors and nurses with the mission of improving healthcare outcomes for local children and elderly.
In the remote villages, Amber witnessed firsthand the severe lack of access to basic healthcare services, which deeply impacted the most vulnerable members of the community. Working alongside the team, she helped provide medical care, education, and support, focusing on preventive measures and treatments for common ailments affecting the population. This benefitted over 500 people, including approximately 200 children.
Amber’s time in Nepal not only strengthened her resolve to pursue a career in medicine, but also deepened her understanding of the challenges facing underserved communities, further shaping her passion for healthcare equity and her desire to help those in need, no matter where they live.

The Landseed Cultural and Educational Foundation, under the Landseed International Hospital, has been dedicated to providing free medical services to Nepal for fifteen years, including stationary and mobile medical services in mountainous areas.
